Round and Round

The surgeon and doctors have been going round and round on how to help Kian.  There are a couple options but none are great options and all are risky.  Unfortunately we don't have a definitely answer on how to help him.  Unfortunately anything we try will be hard on Kian and the results are unknown.

After days of heavy discussions about hemodialysis and different surgical options the decision is to try the hemodialysis first.  This, along with everything else, comes with risks.  But it seems to have the least amount of risk.  If the hemodialysis works, the excess fluid that Kian has been battling will come off in a more effective way and in a shorter amount of time.  Getting the excess fluid off will allow for the surgeon to be able to work on Kian with better results.

So we are now awaiting a time for Kian to go to the cath lab to have the catheter placed that he will need for hemodialysis.  My mom is flying in tonight, we are so excited about that!  We are praying so hard that this works for Kian and gets him in a better place.  Please continue to send your prayers Kian's way, we appreciate it!
