So we were told that the first couple days after surgery would be rough. We were told that they would be up and down. Boy were they right! What a roller coaster!
Today was a long day (again)! Kian's blood pressure continued to drop and then go back up, just to drop again. His heart rate continued to rise and then go back down, just to go up again. It was up to 200 beats per minute for a while!
The doctors have been trying different things to figure out what is causing his heart rate to race. Currently when we left Kian his heart rate had come down a little but was still high. His blood pressure was becoming more stable but was going to be watched.
We are exhausted but know that even though we have come back to the Ronald McDonald house to sleep, God is with Kian. He is watching over him and is in control. It is so easy to praise Him when things are great but we have to remember to do so even when things are rough. We are thankful that Kian was given a fighting spirit and that we have so much support though these times.
We have no doubt that Kian will fight through this too and come out on top. It is just a bumpy road to get there. We are so proud of how hard he is fighting!
Continuing in prayer for sweet Kian! So glad to hear of him making it through surgery successfully! Take one day at a time and know that God is with you each minute. Love you all!! xoxoxo
