Angelversary

Tomorrow is Kian's Angelversary. It is so hard to believe that he has been gone for a year. Honestly, this day isn't a day we want to focus on. It is the worst day of our lives. Though this is the day that Kian earned his angel wings. This is the day, one year ago, that Kian flew into the arms of Jesus and was made whole again. February 8th is a day that is forever etched in our minds.

One of the many ways that Kian will live on in our hearts and actions is by spreading CHD awareness...

Knowing Kian means you know someone with a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD). You know someone who fought for his life; you know someone who’s future was unsure; you know someone who has suffered, who has thrived, who has smiled, who has cried. Knowing Zach and I, you know someone who has handed their child to a surgeon, knowing they will stop their baby’s heart… YOU know someone who spent countless hours praying to God not to take their son away. You know someone who fought every step of the way for every precious milestone, every victory and to overcome every setback and heartache. February is Heart Month. CHD awareness is about sharing facts. About 1 out of every 100 babies are born each year with a CHD, approximately 40,000 each year!

I am sharing this for our son Kian, and all his fellow heart angels and warrior heroes ♥ 1/13/2010-2/6/2011 ♥.

This month is for Kian and for all the precious babies gone to soon and those who are still fighting. You will NEVER be forgotten Kian! Daddy and Mommy love and miss you so much!

  1. I had the priviliged to have been the grandmother to this precious child and blessed with memories full of love and smiles and those eyes!. There are so many happy moments. Zachary rapping to Kian was a sight to see & Danielle's bath routine was amazing. So many, so many. But so many, many more of Kian's courage thru the hardships and his parent's courage also. I have learned more about living from my sweetpea than all my years on this earth and I have learned to be a better mother from watching my son and daughter-in law take care of Kian. Thank you both for what you did for him. Thank you both for your amazing love, compassion, fortitude and strength. Thank you Kian for loving your Grandma and for showing me your brand new shoe!!

    See you in Heaven, Bear!

  3. I can not believe it has been a year. I will forever be so overwhelmingly sad for your loss, and Kian and your family will continue to be in my prayers. May God bless you and give you comfort in knowing that Kian is with him.

  4. Mr. Bear will always be in my heart, he was such an amazing litte boy, an angel on earth. He touched so many lives by showing us his strength. Danielle and Zach, you guys are always in my thoughts and my prayers. You guys are so strong and Kian was blessed to have you. Kian is now looking over us, next to God, and he will always be in our hearts.
    with love, Sue Hellen
