Dear Kian,
First, Happy 2nd birthday to our amazing son! Oh Kian, we miss you so much. There are not words to express the depth of how much we miss you and love you. Our hearts ache for you. If we could just hold you one more time, hear your cute voice, see your infectious smile or look into your beautiful blue eyes… One day baby, one day.
Thinking back to your birthday, what an amazing day! You looked so perfect when you were born. We fell in love instantly. Truly, I think in that very instant we changed. We became parents of an amazing fighter. We were chosen to take care of you and love you. Although it was the most difficult responsibility we ever had, we thank God that you were given to us. We still thank God every day for you.
Fast forward to today, we think of you every second of every day. We remember all that you taught us while you were here and all we have learned since you have been gone. You taught us and so many people priceless life lessons. We are extremely proud of who you are and of what your life story has meant to your family and countless others.
Yes, life is more difficult without you here. There is a gap in our lives, we are not complete. Though, we believe that you are with us in all that we do. We carry you around in our hearts, always will. “What we once have enjoyed we will never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” And oh, how we have loved you so deeply ever since the first second we laid eyes on you.
Kian, on your birthday we will be celebrating your life. We will be celebrating our amazing, strong, courageous son. It is extremely important to us to celebrate your birthday each year. To keep your loving memory alive. So your family will be getting together for dinner and sending lanterns up into the sky for you. Loving friends and family have donated in your honor to Miami Children’s Hospital, had balloon releases and requested prayer at their churches for you. You are so loved and profoundly missed. We will all be remembering all of the love and joy you brought to our lives baby.
