Update

Last night one of Kian's IV's went bad, a much needed IV!  The nurses, doctors and surgeon tried for 5 hours to get a new line but weren't successful.  The more time you spend in a hospital, the more difficult it is to get IV's.  So he went some time without some meds and nutrition.  Then today he had to go to the cath lab for a new line to be placed. They had to insert it through his liver up into his heart.  Scary...but it went well and he is now able to get all of his meds and nutrition.  

Thank God that the line placement was successful and that Kian has been stable!  His liver has now been showing some distress, so that is his next hurdle to overcome. We have no doubt he will, he is such a fighter!  Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.  We'll keep you updated!

    thanks for the update - we are certainly continuing to pray for God's strength and healing for Kian, and strength and peace for you and zach. also, God bless the person that has taken care of the Ronald McDonald house fees on your behalf! that is wonderful news.

    SO many prayers coming your way from all your friends in Naples. Stay strong Danielle and Zach. Kian feels your strength and love all around him. 11 months on Monday...he is AMAZING!
