Yesterday Kian was extubated (his breathing tube was removed). We are so happy to be able to see more of his face now! He is so adorable! After extubation Kian was breathing really fast so they have been watching him closely. Today he seems to be doing better and breathing a little slower. Please pray that this continues so that he doesn't have to be intubated again.
Kian's feeding tube site is healing and getting smaller. The plan is to put the tube in once the hole is small enough and the skin around it is healthier. So it is a waiting game still, but we are headed in the right direction!
